Dear Friend,

I am contacting you about our 16th Annual Four Winds Powwow to be held on September 6-7, 2008, at the Killeen Civic Center in Killeen, Texas. Participants in this event will be coming from New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana and all areas of Texas. We expect to have over 5,000 in attendance. The Civic Center will open to the public at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday and Sunday for each day's events. Events will begin at noon with Gourd Dancing followed by a Grand Entry at 1:00 P.M. A dinner break will begin at 4:30 P.M. with evening Gourd Dancing beginning at 6:00 P.M. and the night Grand Entry beginning at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday. Saturday's events will last until about 11:00 P.M. We will finish on Sunday evening before 6:00 P.M. Over $15,000 in prize money will be awarded. Admission at the door is $2.00 for adults, 5 years & under will be admitted free.

This letter is to offer you the possibility of becoming one of our vendors. Vendor booths will be assigned on a first-return-first choice system. You will be contacted when your lease agreement is received, so that we can check the enclosed map, for your booth confirmation.

Vendor spaces are 10 x 10 and 10 x 20 and cost range from $100 - $300 depending on location rooms at the Convention Center. Spaces must be paid-in-full by Sept 1, 2008, to be held. There will be a $25 late fee, after that date. There are no phone lines into the building so you will have to provide your own credit card verification through your personal cell phone. Check-in for the booths will be at 7:00 AM on September 6, 2008, and must be removed by 8:00 PM September 7, 2008. Rental tables and chairs are available, please contact us for fees.

If you need a place to spend the weekend, there are several hotels or motels in the area. There are camping spaces available behind the Special Events Center for $35 payable to the city. We will not be responsible for any accommodations or making arrangements.
